COMMUNITY SUPPORTS COMMUNITY THEATRE
The 2022/2023 season features 8 shows and three additional special event performances including a wonderful collaboration with Opera Western Reserve, Stambaugh Auditorium, and The Youngstown Symphony Orchestra when we bring Rent to the Edward W. Powers Auditorium at the DeYor Performing Arts Center in April.
This season marks a new era for The Youngstown Playhouse not only because it will be our first full-length season since 2019, but it marks the first full season with the Stambaugh Auditorium team as a managing partner, and we could not be more thrilled!
While we have survived the economic hardships seen in the industry over the last several years, we continue to recover from the impact of the pandemic on the arts and culture sector. The support of our donors has been more important than ever during these challenging times. Since income from ticket sales covers only 35% of our operating costs, the Youngstown Playhouse relies on philanthropic support to provide community theatre as well as community outreach and educational programming.
As we approach our 100th Anniversary, The Youngstown Playhouse is committed to its mission of presenting quality theatre arts performances, providing educational initiatives, and establishing and maintaining community partnerships.
We need your support. Please consider a gift to our annual appeal and help support The Youngstown Playhouse.
Although a donation of any amount will be greatly appreciated, gifts of $100 or more will be included in the “Friends of The Youngstown Playhouse” Annual Giving Society. All members of the Giving Society will receive benefits including:
- Special recognition on the Youngstown Playhouse website and in event playbills
- Advance notice of upcoming events and early access to tickets
- Exclusive invitations to pre-show events and early VIP entrance for select events
