PLAYHOUSE COLLABORATES FOR VIRTUAL HOLIDAY CONCERT

Youngstown, OH — The Youngstown Playhouse will present a virtual special event in partnership with New Castle Playhouse, Area Community Theatre of Sharpsville, Greenville Area Community Theatre and Red Barn Players, under the leadership of the Community Foundation of Western PA and Eastern OH. Since COVID-19 struck in March 2020, theatres have been unable to present live performances and are hurting financially without revenue from ticket sales. This collaborative effort will allow theatres to raise funds while sharing talents from their respective organizations.

PLAYHOUSE MOURNS LOSS OF JOSEPH E. SCARVELL, LONGEST-SERVING MEMBER OF COMMUNITY

Scarvell Youth Theatre Endowment Fund, created to honor the legacy of the longest-serving member of the Playhouse community and a lifetime dedicated to arts education. The endowment will support activities of The Youngstown Playhouse Youth Theatre and educational programming.

MANAGEMENT AGREEMENT WITH THE HENRY H. STAMBAUGH AUDITORIUM ASSOCIATION

Youngstown, OH — On Tuesday, January 18, 2022, the Board of Directors of The Youngstown Playhouse entered into a management partnership agreement with the Henry H. Stambaugh Auditorium Association (HHSAA). The agreement details that the HHSAA will provide all services necessary to support the operations of The Youngstown Playhouse facility, organization, and programming. The partnership will continue to expand upon the almost 100 year legacy of The Youngstown Playhouse, one of the oldest ongoing community theatres in the country.

The Youngstown Playhouse Announces 2022/2023 Season

Youngstown, OH — During the opening weekend of The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Youngstown Playhouse announced its 2022/2023 Season. The Youngstown Playhouse will be presenting its first full-length season since the 2019 / 2020 Season.
