About the show
On New Year’s Eve, three generations of the Wilfree family gather in Momma’s living room with one simple mission: Cook her traditional black-eyed peas before midnight. What should be a routine family ritual quickly becomes a humorous and heartfelt journey of unspoken truths, pain, unresolved issues, and a nonexistent bond between mother and son.
Through laughter, music, memories, and a chaotic cooking adventure, Black Eyed Peas Before Midnight explores forgiveness, generational sacrifice, faith, and the power of God and tradition to restore love.
