About the show
Ben Lyons is dying. His wife just wants to redecorate the living room. When their children – a recovering alcoholic and a queer short story author – join them at his deathbed, all efforts at a pleasant visit, or a sentimental goodbye, are soon abandoned and the family must grapple with the imminent death of its patriarch (who no one seems to like all that much anyway). Nicky Silver’s The Lyons is a mature dark comedy that isn’t afraid to explore the stormy aspects of family dynamics.
Due to adult language and mature themes, The Lyons is recommended for mature audiences.
