Youngstown, OH (September 18, 2023) – The Youngstown Playhouse will host its third annual Trunk or Treat on Sunday, October 15th from 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm in The Youngstown Playhouse parking lot at 600 Playhouse Lane, Youngstown, Ohio 44511.

This event will be both educational, offering various community resources, as well as a fun, safe, and a centralized trick-or-treating experience for children and their families. Participants will be able to judge decorated cars and vote on the best dressed one.

“We are so excited to offer this opportunity to the surrounding neighborhoods, as well as the friends and family who participate in or attend programs at our facilities,” Education Coordinator Emelia Sherin stated. “This really is a community effort and showcases the support that several organizations in the valley have for our youth and the arts to provide a safe event to congregate,” Sherin added.

Participating community organizations planning to decorate their trunk and pass out treats include DeYor Performing Arts Center, Opera Western Reserve, Stambaugh Auditorium, The Youngstown Symphony Society, McKee Foos Photography, and Spark Motherhood.

Community organizations can register to participate with a “Trunk” until October 7th by contacting Education Coordinator Emelia Sherin at
