Youngstown, OH (February 9, 2022): The Youngstown Playhouse is excited to announce it’s spring 2022 classes and workshops. The educational classes will take place at The Youngstown Playhouse on Saturdays beginning on March 19, 2022, and ending on April 30, 2022, with no classes on April 16th for the Easter/Passover weekend.

“These classes are designed to inspire new and active artists to stay sharp in the art of critical and creative thinking, as well as connecting with themselves and their peers through the performing arts,” states Education Coordinator, Emelia Sherin.

The four classes that are being offered are:
Artful Explorers
5 to 8 years old
Jungle themed class exploring the fundamentals of theatre, music, dance, and visual arts
Modern Musical Theatre
9-12 years old
Strengthen skills in music, dance, and acting through songs from hit modern musicals like Legally Blonde, Mean Girls, and Newsies
We the People
13 to 18 years old
Influenced by the hit musical, Hamilton
Learn the history of American founding fathers through the art of singing, rapping and dancing
Friday Night Live
18+
Learn how to write and perform sketch comedy skits to entertain friends and family in a final performance that will be open to the public.
