THE YOUNGSTOWN PLAYHOUSE ANNOUNCES 2022/2023 SEASON
Youngstown, OH (June 2, 2022): During the opening weekend of The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Youngstown Playhouse announced its 2022/2023 Season. The Youngstown Playhouse will be presenting its first full-length season since the 2019 / 2020 Season.
The Youngstown Playhouse has provided community theatre to Youngstown and the surrounding area for almost 100 years, this season’s line-up continues to bring a variety of genres to the stage. A mix of classic and contemporary shows will take audiences through a range of emotions, love, mystery, adventure, joy, and hope.
“We’ve been here for 98 years and there’s a lot of loyalty in Youngstown. I’m hoping that this year is a brand new era for the Playhouse. Being more organized in a business sense is really something we have been focused on.” board president Dr. John Cox stated. “We tell stories that connect us, that let us walk in someone else’s shoes and illuminate the human spirit. There’s nothing better than entertaining people and making them laugh or cry.”
The Youngstown Playhouse is one of the longest continuously running community theatres in the country and survived the economic and entertainment hardships seen in the industry these last several years.
This upcoming season will feature 8 shows and three additional special event performances. For show details, see the show listing and descriptions below. Special events will be announced in the coming months, Flex Pass Subscribers will receive additional benefits for these events.
2022/2023 Flex Pass subscriptions are on sale now and available in three pricing tiers, passes are valid for four (4) performances within the season. Special pricing for Flex Pass subscriptions is available now through August 7, 2022. Subscriptions start at $48 plus a $3 fee per pass purchased. For additional details visit youngstownplayhouse.org.
Individual tickets will also adopt a scaled pricing model, ticket pricing for each performance will be $17, $22, and $27 plus a $3 fee per ticket. Individual tickets will go on sale six (6) weeks prior to each show’s opening.
