ON SALE NOW, THE YOUNGSTOWN PLAYHOUSE PRESENTS MISERY

Youngstown, OH (September 14, 2023): The Youngstown Playhouse will present Misery, by William Goldman and based on the novel by Stephen King. Directed by Christopher Fidram, the production will run October 27 – November 5, 2023 on the Main Stage.

Successful romance novelist Paul Sheldon survives a car crash thanks to his rescuer, Annie Wilkes, his “number one fan.” Paul wakes up captive in her secluded home, while on the mend, Annie reads his latest book and becomes enraged to find out the author has killed off her favorite character, Misery Chastain. The irate Annie forces Paul to write a new version of the novel as if his life depends on it, and it does.

The creative team is led under the direction of Christopher Fidram (Director) and includes Caitlyn N. Santiago (Stage Manager), Matthew Mazuroski (Scenic Design), and Leslie Brown (Lighting Design). Paul Sheldon will be played by Brian Suchora and Annie Wilkes will be played by Jenna Cintavey.
